I finally made the jump: my very first YouTube video is up!
How appropriate that it would be a first impressions on Emilynoel83’s collaboration with Makeup Revolution London: Emily is the type of YouTuber I have been watching for years and aspire to be. She is genuine, real, approachable and has no hidden agenda. She’s an inspiration and I truly wish her the best.
Go and check her reveal video here

The packaging

The packaging is really sturdy and to be honest way better than I expected for the price I paid for these palettes! It does not look cheap at all, actually I think they look quite elegant and sturdy. I can see myself traveling with those and, before you get your judging cap on, yes, I do need that many eyeshadows even when I travel because doing my makeup is therapeutical for me and makes me feel special :)

Both palettes have a great mirror which is worth mentioning. Again, based on the price point, these are great quality and make them ideal for traveling or doing your make up on the go.

The Product

The first thing I notice is the fact you have a great selection of colors, textures and options with these. Whether you’re just starting with makeup or you’re makeup obsessed already, you’ll find these appealing.

The Emily Edit - the NEEDS

This one is the multitasker, you can do a whole look with it from start to finish, no fuss, no complications!
If all you want is a good quality and affordable basics palette for an everyday neutral look, then look no further.

The Emily Edit - the WANTS

This one is the cinnamon on top of your pumpkin spice latte or the cherry on the cake, whatever rocks your boat!
The wants is the door to bringing you options either to get you out of your comfort zone or to get you through every occasion.
You have a mix of warms and cool tones, mattes, satins and sparkly textures all consistently good quality eyeshadows.
Stay neutral or go colorful, go bright and festive or go dark and smokey. You have tons of options and hours ahead of play time with this one.

Huge Lush haul - Barcelona Arenas

20/11/2014

I have been to Lush today and that is a great epic moment for me! I tend to do a big haul around this time of the year so that I can get both the Christmas and Halloween specials in addition to the main line favorites.

I basically do a group buy once a year and then during the year, I'll just buy the odd thing that catches my eye.

I hope you like it !

Dorothy bubble bar: ylang ylang, orange blossom and gardenia

Creamy candy bath: almond oil, vanilla and caramel

So white: apple, bergamot, orange blossom, rose, and neroli.

Karma bubble bath: patchuli, orange, lavender, pine, lemongrass and gardenia.

Beauty must: Bioderma Sebium

5/9/2014

I know I am veeeeeeeereery late on this one as it is a total cult within the blogosphere and YouTube beauty gurus out there. However I have to confess I tend to scare away from trying anything that is going through a big buzz out there because I end up putting my expectations so high I almost always end up disappointed. What I generally do is simple: I wait... Patiently!

Here is the idea behind holding back: if it's just a fashion it fades and if it is a truly amazing product it stays!

Bioderma was in vogue for two trends: the whole "eau micellaire" hype and then the amazing capacity to transform your skin gently.

I had tried other cleansing waters and although I like the refreshing feeling of the water I wasn't really impressed with the efficiency or even the effects on my skin. Hence why I let it to rest for a while longer before hitting the counter and getting it!

With summer my skin gets really sensitive and reactive, the heat makes me sweat wich is good to eliminate toxins but when it comes to my skin it just ends up in at terrible state: dry but prone to blemishes and very, very sensitive ! T.T

As I was in France recently and saw a discount on the green Bioderma (the one for greasy and combination skin) I decided to give it a good try!

Well guys, hats up, down and center: it is AMAZING!

I saw a difference on my first application! My skin felt refreshed and soothed almost instantly. My blemishes (which were very sore!!) just seemed to calm down on each application and started fading away!

For a few days I kept applying it morning and evening and if I felt a sore blemish or if it was very warm, I'd just pat my skin with some more on a cotton pad.

My skin is calmer and softer. And the blemishes seem to be less frequent and less active.

It's definitely a thumbs up!!
